Adobe MAX Black Keys Concert

Los Ageles, CA. - May, 2013

The Black Keys performed at Adobe MAX last year. I went alone, which gave me the flexibility to take a lot of pictures. I shot this with a 50mm prime lens on my Canon 7D, ISO 1600 - f/5.6 - 1/100. It's not as sharp as I'l like, but good enough to have captured a great memory.

Eucalyptus Blossoms

San Diego, Ca. - May, 2014

I had never noticed how pretty Eucalyptus tree blossoms are until I spotted the light on this bunch. The image looks like it was captured with artificial lighting, but the scene was actually lit by sunlight bouncing off of a glass building about 200 yards behind me.

Venice Beach Mural

Venice Beach, Ca. - November, 2012

Murals are always fun to photograph. I like the graphic qualities of this one. Who's looking at who here? The eyeball in the mural makes me feel like there must be people in those windows peering out at me too.

National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, D.C. - December, 2013

I photograph a lot of public art. Are these photographs documents of someone else's art, or art themselves?

Do You See What I See Shadow

Spanish Village Art Center, Balboa Park, Ca. - June, 2013

I love how shadows can take on identities detached from the subject that they are cast from. Do you see tree branches or do you see something hanging in a tree? Would you immediately see a tree shadow if the tree trunk was cropped from the scene?

Abstract

Zihuatanejo Mexico - February, 2013

This image is completely edited in Lightroom. I used a variety of adjustment brush edits with slightly different temperature and tints to accentuate the color pallete.
