I keep commitments, even ones made with myself. When my girlfriend Carey suggested I do a 30 day challenge with her I said, "it would be good for me to draw for 30 days, but I'm not going to make that commitment." I was afraid to commit to something I would later resent. She pushed and I conceded after imposing some rules for myself.
The drawings would be small, simple, drawn with a large brush tip sharpie, and done quickly. No pencils, erasers or digital undos. I get too wrapped up in the details of creating. I thought my rules would prevent that, and hopefully help me to care less about the final product.
I kept my commitment and stuck to my rules. Except for the quickly part. By the end I was spending twice as much time on a drawing.
On day 1 I drew the living room windowed doors, my view while seated in my recliner. I did all 30 drawings in the comfort of my living room.

Adobe Mobile applications connect our devices to our desktop applications allowing us to create any where at any time. Most of the traffic between mobile and desktop is routed through the Creative Cloud Libraries. Unfortunately at this time, the mobile workflow primarily runs on a one way street going from Mobile to Desktop with very few round trips available.
The year end is a great time to do some digital house keeping. I’ve spent the last few days backing up and organizing my digital devices. Admittedly, I should be doing these things on a more regular basis, but work happens and some things get away from me.
At the end of every year I take a hard, honest look at my digital clutter. Here’s my year end check list to get things back in order. What is yours?
Time Machine Backup
Time Machine runs year round on my Mac Pro. Most of the time this works without me having to think about it, but occasionally the backup drive stops working for no apparent reason. So this week I reformatted the Time Machine backup hard drive, after first running a Time Machine backup to a secondary external drive.
